Collecting Data

Collection of data on clinical services can be accomplished through:

  • Chart reviews
  • Direct observation
  • Metrics

You cannot improve quality without good data, but gathering data is only the first step. To provide effective quality leadership, you must process the data in a meaningful way, report out the data, recommend change as needed, and monitor results with new data. The following tools will help you analyze your data.
